Completely original, never been re-faced.
There's quite a bit of debate on whether the "Off-set" is better than the "in-line"... What I can say for certain is that they are indicative of a particular moment in their production where things were different from what they were doing previously. Whether it was a set of new hands finishing the pieces and this/these facers wanted to distinguish themselves from the previous set of facers, or quite simply they got new machines in to do the gross work...
Only the person playing on these pieces can say whether they are better or not, sound is subjective that way.
